Colour roles and contrast
Give each colour a job, and see which pairings are readable.
On Brand › Colour, every colour has a name, a hex value and a role: primary, accent, ground or text. Roles tell people and tools what each colour is for, and Create uses them to draw layouts.
For each pairing, Brandbook shows the contrast ratio and whether it passes AA or AAA for text. Print values (CMYK) are worked out for you.
Checks compare colours by how different they look, not just by hex value. A near miss is flagged as off-palette with the brand colour to swap to.
